The 1,000 was created in preparation for the novel.
Sometimes all you need is a little practice and a lot of hope to get you going.
The plan was to draw 1,000 cows from four angles: front, right side, back, left side, for practice. The back side was a little awkward, but this ended up being a valuable exercise overall. One was given away before they were scanned and saved digitally, so there's a little Jesus in the mix.
